Boy, 14, shot dead in Brgy. Budlaan
A 14-year-old boy was shot dead by a 28-year-old after the former allegedly beat up his brother on Tac-an Road, Barangay Budlaan yesterday dawn.
The victim was identified as Arjay Niere, an 8th grade student of Canduman National High School. The suspect was identified as Jeffrey Borinaga, 28.
Borinaga, who hails from Sitio Kapasar, Barangay Budlaan, was arrested during a hot pursuit operation.
According to PO2 Francel Buling, the investigator on case, Niere and his companions went to a dance party.
The victim was allegedly one of the those who beat up Borinaga’s younger sibling.
At 1:30 a.m., Borinaga reportedly caught up with Niere where he shot the latter.
Niere sustained two gunshot wounds in his head where he was rushed to a hospital but he expired in the afternoon.
Buling said that Borinaga was once arrested for his involvement in illegal drugs.
Borinaga will be facing charges for murder. (JOB with HBL of Super Balita)
