2 men nabbed for gun ban violation
TWO men were arrested at 10:40 p.m. Monday, April 16, for allegedly violating the election gun ban on the national highway in Barangay Nangka, Balamban, Cebu.
Senior Inspector Deni Mari Pedrozo, the town police chief, identified the suspects as Melvin Baliguat, 43, and Joel Torreon Aliviado, 45.
The two persons were on board their respective motorcycles when they were caught during a Commission on Elections (Comelec) checkpoint.
Each suspect yielded an unlicensed .45 pistol. Pedrozo’s team also seized the motorcycles.
