How’s ‘Sardinas for Basura’ doing?
IT has been more than a year since the Cebu City Government started distributing P5 million worth of canned sardines to the residents of Barangays Cogon Pardo and Lahug in exchange for their garbage.
The project, dubbed as “Basura Mo, Sardinas Ko,” seeks to improve the collection of solid waste in the city’s interior areas.
How is its implementation, so far?
To see how much the City Government has disbursed or used for the purchase of sardines, the City Council asked the Department of Public Services (DPS) to submit a progress report on the project.
