Vaz tops charity event
VAZ United bagged the Women’s title of Innodata FC’s (IFC) Football for Charity tournament last Sunday after a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over the Avengers on the San Roque football pitch in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Avengers went up early with a goal by Karlin Trinidad in the opening minute.
Regina Chavez, who was named MVP, answered with back-to-back goals in the 12th and 14th minutes to give Vaz United the win.
Vaz United earned a slot in the finals with a 2-1 penalty shootout win over Convergys, while Avengers beat Optum, 3-0.
